When PfISD is not using the CTE Center, ACC could offer adult education and workforce training for residents building or changing careers.
That could include certificates, continuing education, career advancement, and other programming developed with local needs in mind. ACC would work with PfISD and community stakeholders on programs and schedules so local training can respond to community and workforce needs.
As Pflugerville changes, the partnership could adapt rather than ending with one set of high school programs.

Plan With Pflugerville for the Long Term
District membership is not a one-time program. It would bring Pflugerville and Northeast Travis County into ACC's long-term planning as population, enrollment, and workforce needs change, making future local programs and investment possible in a way they are not today.
Residents could vote for all nine at-large positions on the ACC Board of Trustees, and an eligible Pflugerville resident could run for the Board. Trustees make decisions about the budget, tax rate, programs, facilities, workforce priorities, and future investment.
That is the concrete promise behind Forever Opportunity for Pflugerville: a higher-education partner residents can use and help shape as the community grows.

Lockhart Offers a Recent Example
Lockhart joined ACC in 2024. Within a year, more than 600 area students enrolled, ACC added local classes, and the college opened a downtown training center for plumbing, HVAC, and other skilled trades.
Pflugerville's plan and future would be its own. Lockhart shows how district membership can move from a service plan to local classes and workforce training as needs and investment develop.
